The papers in this volume come from a conference held in 2001 in Taipei, Taiwan. The book begins with a chapter on science and religion in the West, in the non-Asian context, and then focuses on science and religion in the Asian context and investigates a variety of themes in science and religion. Its emphasis is on religious, philosophical, cultural and ecological issues.
